Quarterback carousel continues

For the fourth time in the past year the Seminole coaching staff has made a change at the quarterback position.
After completing 14-of-32 for 208 yards with two interceptions and two fumbles in a loss to Miami, Xavier Lee has been benched in favor of former starter Drew Weatherford. Head coach Bobby Bowden announced during his weekly Luncheon on Monday that Weatherford would start Saturday's Homecoming game versus Duke.

After coming on in relief of Weatherford against Alabama, Lee earned three straight starts versus NC State, Wake Forest and Miami where FSU was 1-2. In the four games he appeared in, Lee's passing numbers decreased in each while his turnover totals increased.
While Weatherford will get the start, Bowden said Lee will be used in a "closer" role off the bench.
Prior to his benching against Alabama, Weatherford was 2-1 as a starter completing 54-of-98 (55.1%) for 662 yards, four TDs and one interception. The junior from Land O'Lakes (Fla.) will be making his 28th career start this Saturday.
