When it comes to big-time wide receiver targets, there aren't many as dynamic as Robert E. Lee (Ala.) standout Henry Ruggs.
Ruggs, a four-star prospect who has offers from a who's who of major college programs, including Alabama and Michigan, was one of many recruits who visited Tallahassee for the FSU-Clemson game last week. Unlike many of those recruits, it was a return visit for Ruggs, who also made it to FSU for the North Carolina game earlier this season.
Even though the Seminoles came up short against No. 3 Clemson, 37-34, Ruggs came away impressed with his second visit.
"It was a great game, great crowd and the stadium was so electric," Ruggs said.
Aside from the atmosphere, Ruggs said he has become a big fan of Florida State's passing game. The 6-foot, 171-pound playmaker said he could definitely see how he could flourish in Jimbo Fisher's offense.
"It just looks as if I could fit in perfectly with that style of play," he said. "I like the team, program. Coach Fisher is doing a great job with it. They are certainly a part of my top five."
Despite already taking two unofficial visits to Tallahassee, Ruggs said he isn't done yet. He already is planning another trip later this year. At that time, he plans to focus more on the relationships between the players and coaches.
