Seminoles hold on for 81-80 win over No. 12 UNC
The No. 24 Florida State men's basketball team just missed knocking off one of the ACC's blue bloods on Saturday.
This time, the Seminoles finished the job -- barely.
Four days after letting a late lead slip away at Duke, FSU held on for an 81-80 victory Wednesday night against No. 12 North Carolina. The 'Noles won despite missing four free straight free throws in the final minute.
With the win, FSU improves to 12-2 on the season and 1-1 in ACC play. UNC falls to 12-3 and 1-1.
Florida State has now recorded 28 straight victories at the Tucker Center.

FSU was led by senior guard Braian Angola with 20 points. UNC was led by senior guard Joel Berry with 28.
Florida State led for nearly the entire first half and by as much as 13 before UNC cut the margin to nine points at halftime, 50-41.
It was the second game of a very challenging five-game stretch for the Seminoles. They played at then-No. 4 Duke this past Saturday, then travel to face No. 15 Miami this Sunday. After that, they host Louisville and Syracuse in back-to-back home games.
