Once he received a scholarship offer to Florida State, Rivals250 offensive tackle Josh Ball needed all of about 10 minutes to make his decision. He committed to the Seminoles in the FSU parking lot that very day.

In our latest Signee Update, Ball talks more about that decision, his rigorous workouts since National Signing Day and what he's expecting as a freshman. Ball also discusses how firm he was with his commitment when other schools like Virginia and N.C. State tried to make a late push for him as signing day approached.

Four-star prospect Josh Ball can do a little bit of everything on the offensive line, and he might get a chance to show that as a freshman at Florida State. The 6-foot-7, 300-pound standout says he has been putting in work since National Signing Day to make sure he makes an early impact in college.

"The coaches sent me my workout plan and playbook," Ball said. "Most of the time I've been doing conditioning, running with my personal trainer. Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I've been doing the conditioning. The workouts are a lot of the Olympic-style lifts, snatch, power clean. They want to get hip explosion, so that's the main thing. ... Coach [Rick] Trickett wants you bigger, but he wants you not to be tired to wear teams down in the fourth quarter."

Ball, who committed early so that he could help recruit other players for the Seminoles, said he can hardly wait to get to Tallahassee. With the addition of the 2016 class to the already-talented Florida State roster, Ball thinks the Seminoles will be among the most talented teams in the country.

"I've been talking with Levonta [Taylor], and we have a great defensive class, but the offensive class is pretty ridiculous," Ball said. "We are planning to compete for a national title."
