FORT LAUDERDALE -- The third stop in our Spring Recruiting Tour includes a visit with one of the nation's top prospects at any position -- Rivals100 defensive end Khris Bogle -- at Cardinal Gibbons High School.

Among other topics, Bogle explains why his sister wants him to join her in Tallahassee, the depth of his relationship with FSU assistant coach Odell Haggins, when he plans to make a commitment, how many times he plans to visit Florida State this fall and more. We also check in on a pair of offensive linemen who also are on the Seminoles' radar.

Rivals100 DE Bogle feeling strong ties to FSU

It's nearly impossible to list all of the connections Cardinal Gibbons star defensive end Khris Bogle has with Florida State and Tallahassee.

Everything starts, of course, with his sister attending Florida A&M University, which is practically next door to FSU. Bogle said he and his sister are especially close, and he adds that she's probably recruiting him harder to Florida State than anyone.

"Some call her my twin sister," the four-star defensive end said. "She is still letting me make my own decision, but there's no doubt she certainly wants me at FSU. So does my mom because of my bond with my sister."

The ties don't stop there, though, as two of Bogle's closest friends committed to the Seminoles during the FSU spring game.

"Oh, I'm really close to Jaleel McRae and Dontae Lucas," Bogle said. "It was crazy because right as I was arriving for my spring game visit, Dontae committed and I sent him a DM. Then Jaleel did it, and I was like I guess I'm next."

Bogle was kidding with the "I'm next" part, but it wouldn't be much of a surprise if he ended up with the Seminoles.

Not only did he have a great time during his visit for the spring game, but the nation's No. 3-ranked weakside defensive end said his mother and father also came away extremely impressed with new head coach Willie Taggart and staff.

"I don't have a favorite or leader, but I can tell you they are way up there," Bogle said of the Seminoles. "Way up there for me. I feel very comfortable when I'm there. You get a sense of it being a total family now with Coach Taggart. Not that it wasn't with Jimbo [Fisher], but this is different. Everyone's together."

Another factor that seems to be weighing in Florida State's favor is Bogle's relationship with longtime defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins. Although he would not be Bogle's direct position coach, Haggins has been recruiting him since early in his high school career.

"He's a genuine man, and when you think about him, you think about family," Bogle said. "I also think he's one of the best coaches in college football. His knowledge is so good about what he can help you improve on.
