Teams wasted no time in taking Florida State players off the board on Saturday's final day of the NFL draft. Both Devonta Freeman and Bryan Stork within the first five picks of the fourth round.

With Telvin Smith's selection in the fifth round, FSU had seven players taken in the 2014 draft, and 18 in the past two years. A few draft-eligible Seminoles remain on the market for free agent signings. James Wilder Jr. and Christian Jones still remain on the open market as well as Chad Abram and Kenny Shaw.

Freeman headed to Falcons

Former Florida State running back Devonta Freeman was picked by the Atlanta Falcons.

He was chosen with the 103rd overall pick in the fourth round. Freeman joins a backfield in Atlanta that includes Steven Jackson and Jacquizz Rogers. He was the ninth running back off the board.

Freeman became the first FSU running back to rush for 1,000 yards since Warrick Dunn in 1996 when he finished the season with a team-high 1,016 rushing yards. He added 278 receiving yards and finished the year with 14 rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdowns. He shared carries throughout his career in Tallahassee, but still finished his career with 2,255 rushing yards and 30 rushing touchdowns. He was one of four FSU underclassmen to declare for the draft, including James Wilder Jr., another running back.

Stork goes to Patriots

FSU center Bryan Stork was picked up by the New England Patriots just two picks after Freeman, with the 105th pick in the fourth round.

Stork was a four-year starter for Florida State on the offensive line, and spearheaded an offensive line that paved the way for the No. 1 scoring offense in college football. While at FSU, Stork played multiple positions on the offensive line, logging time at guard, tackle and center.

He enjoyed his best season as a redshirt senior in 2013. Stork was a consensus All-American in 2013 and also won the Rimington Trophy as the best center in college football as a senior in 2013.

"I'm very excited," Stork told Patriots.com, the teams web site. "It's definitely the team I always wanted. I look forward to being part of the team and helping them win games."

Jaguars nab Smith

The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted former FSU linebacker Telvin Smith with the 144th overall pick in the fifth round on Saturday.

Smith, the Seminoles' vocal leader in the middle of the defense, had a team-high 90 tackles. He also had 15 stops in the BCS title game, including 11 solo tackles. He also had 9.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and three interceptions.

He saw significant action on defense in his first three years on campus, but didn't become a starter until his senior season. He was third on the team with 64 tackles in 2012, had 42 as a sophomore and had 18 tackles as a true freshman.

He faced questions during the draft process about his size. Smith gained weight in the weeks leading up to the draft in an effort to assuage concerns about his 218-pound frame.

Smith, along with Jernigan and linebacker Christian Jones, was one of three former FSU players who reportedly failed a drug test at the NFL Combine in February.
