Tallahassee LB to FSU

The hits keep coming for Florida State. At least the players that make most of the hits on the gridiron keep coming. For the third time in the last four days the Seminoles landed a four-star linebacker. Last Thursday South Carolina's top defender Lawrence Timmons gave FSU the nod, and on Sunday one of Georgia's best, Jae Thaxton committed to the Tribe. The 'Noles didn't have to go far for their third commitment from a prep linebacker.
Tallahassee Lincoln linebacker Rodney Gallon went on local television a little after 6:00 p.m. and told Beau Bishop and WCTV sports director, and Warchant.com recruiting analyst, Lee Gordon that he intends on signing with Florida State.

"I decided to be a Seminole," Gallon said as he donned a garnet hat with a big spear on it. "It just felt right. I love coach Steele. He's a great guy and a great man. I want to play for him."
Gallon selected FSU, over Auburn, Nebraska and Tennessee.
Gallon, the Rivals.com No. 9 rated outside linebacker, earned first team all-state honors for 4A in his senior season by recording 135 tackles, five tackles for loss and three sacks. He finished is prep career playing the Cali-Florida Bowl where he tallied eight total tackles. He is fully qualified.
During the same broadcast Lincoln offensive lineman Calvin Darity surprised people by announcing that he had committed to play football with North Carolina.
Florida State is still pursuing a third Lincoln player but they will have to wait a little longer to learn his final destination. Defensive back Joe Manning will wait until Wednesday to make his commitment public.
