Tay Cody hopes to lure cousin to play at FSU

Florida State is known for keeping things in the family. Just a few years ago, Michael Boulware, younger brother of Peter was lured to FSU by his older sibling. The same can be said on the baseball team with Stephen Drew and J.D Drew.
Now, former Seminole All-American cornerback Tay Cody is trying to convince his cousin Dan Foster to wear the Garnet and Gold as well. As a Junior at Early County High School (GA), Foster recorded 80 tackles and 4 sacks in just eight games before his season was ended by a broken leg.

Despite not receiving an offer from the 'Noles yet, he says he already knows his number one choice.
"Tay talks to me all the time," says Foster. "He's telling me to make up my mind. He'd like to see me play at FSU. They are my number one choice right now."
Offers from Georgia, Auburn, and UCF have arrived and the 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker expects one from the 'Noles to arrive shortly. Foster was in Tallahassee for the FSU-Duke basketball game last January, and spent a lot of time with defensive ends coach Jody Allen.
"I had a chance to talk to Coach Allen," says Foster. "He's a good guy. I saw the locker room and the field house, it was nice."
That wasn't the first time Foster has been on FSU's campus. As a kid, he spent several Saturday's in the stands at Doak Campbell Stadium cheering on the Seminoles.
"I loved FSU even before Tay went there," he said. "I went to all the home games when he played there. I've probably been to about 20 or so games. He took me in the locker room...I've always loved the Noles."
Foster plans to camp at Florida State this summer, and the prospects of him wearing the Garnet and Gold seem to be very promising, and that should make his cousin proud. His classroom work needs a slight improvement but he should have no problems qualifying. He currently carries a 2.4 core GPA and will take the SAT on June 12.
Many consider Foster to be the No. 2 linebacker in the Peach State behind LaGrange’s Tray Blackmon.
Speaking of Tay Cody, Foster says his cousin expects to sign a contract on June 1st with either Dallas, Washington, or Jacksonville.
