Three lucky schools for Miller

Florida State struck gold last February signing the top rated prospect from South Carolina in Jamie Robinson. The 5-foot-9 cornerback got a chance to see Florida State first hand when he traveled down from Duncan, South Carolina on Wednesday. That first evening, he got to hang out with Jamie Robinson and Derek Nicholson. On Thursday, he didn't take part in the football camp, but did tour the campus and meet with the coaching staff. In the afternoon, he got a chance to meet head coach Bobby Bowden for the first time.

"It went good," Miller said of the meeting. "He basically told me to go where I feel I really wanted to go and not let anyone persuade me in any way. We just talked. It wasn't anything major and they didn't try to put pressure on me."

With or without any pressure, the James F. Byrnes speedster admits he is starting to tire of the recruiting process. As a result, he says it won't be long before he makes a commitment.

"I'm going to try to get it out of the way," Miller said said. "I'm going to make my decision sometime soon."

Miller currently holds over a dozen scholarship offers but is now focused on a lucky three. Which three are in the driver's seat?

"Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee," he said.

Prior to arriving in Tallahassee, the talented cornerback was in Athens to check out another one of his top schools, the Georgia Bulldogs. He gave both visits favorable reviews.

"They both have real nice facilities and are really similar in a lot of areas," he said. "There aren't any big differences anywhere."

In addition to wondering about his school of choice, there has been a lot of discussion about where he will lineup at the next level. He excels on both offense and defense in high school but it sounds like he knows where he will play in college.

"He (Bowden) asked me where I would like to play and I told him corner," Miller said. "They are looking at me for both offense and defense."

Miller has three state championship rings and his team has posted a 42-2 record during his time there.

He plans to major in business and is well on track to academically qualify.
