Last year, Florida State entered new waters in the recruiting world getting commitments from two quarterbacks just minutes apart. The 'Noles broke new ground in again on Saturday with two kickers giving verbal commitments to the Seminole coaching staff.
During Florida State's June Kicking Camp, Ricky Aguayo, younger brother of FSU kicker Roberto Aguayo, and Tyler Logan both pledged their future services to the Seminoles.
"I had a really good time at the kicking camp. After the camp I went to coach Fisher's office with my family and decided that I wanted to commit to Florida State University," Ricky Augayo told Warchant.com. "I'm ready to be a Seminole."
Aguayo attends IMG academy in Bradenton, Fla. with fellow FSU commitment Isaac Nauta. He transferred from Montverde Academy (Fla.) after the school cancelled its football program. The strong-legged kicker is ranked by Kohl's as the nation's No. 3 kicker for the class of 2016.
During the same kicking camp, Logan Tyler, Kohl's No. 1 ranked kicker for the class of 2016, did the same thing and tweeted out his commitment. He attends Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri.
Tyler has kicked a 75-yard field goal in practice and a kickoff 90 yards (see video below). He is being recruited as both a kicker and punter by Florida State.
So incredibly blessed to announce that I've commited to Florida State University. #Tribe16 #NoleNation #GloryToGod pic.twitter.com/i0qQ5lKghx- Logan Tyler (@17LoganTyler) June 6, 2015
