Two players suspended

This week has been a difficult one for Florida State coming off the upset loss to Virginia that dropped the 'Noles from the ranks of the unbeaten. It got a little worse on Monday when Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden announced that two players would serve one-game suspensions - Fred Rouse and Cornelius Lewis.
"We are suspending Fred Rouse and Cornelius Lewis for this game for violating team policy," Bowden said. "That's all I will elaborate on that. Those two will be suspended for this (Duke) ballgame."

So far this season, Rouse, a former prep All-American from Tallahassee Lincoln, has two catches for 70 yards and one touchdown.
As with Rouse, nobody at Florida State would give further details on the nature of Cornelius Lewis' suspension. The redshirt freshman guard played extensively in the second half of the Wake Forest game when Matt Meinrod went down with an injury. He also saw some action on Saturday behind starting right guard John Frady.
Florida State faces Duke this Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff with the game being broadcast by ESPNU.
