The voters have spoken and made their voices heard for three days now. What

we've found out is that not even the Bush vs. Gore election in 2000 has anything

on the 2008 Warchant.com Cowgirl contest.

No one expected it to be this close, especially given that the two finalists

are about as opposite in appearance as you can get. One's a brunette, the

other's a blond. One is a little more on the conservative side, the other might

be a bit more risqué. Chocolate vs. vanilla?

Warchant.com owner Gene Williams had this to say about the tight race, "To

have nearly 2,400 fans vote and for the difference between the two candidates to

be only six votes is incredible.

Fans obviously felt both girls are great choices and have what it takes to

become Warchant.com Cowgirls, and I agree. Considering how hard Nikki Lauren and

Jess Denny have worked to reach this goal, and how close the voting was the only

fair thing to do is for us to crown both as Warchant.com Cowgirls."

Warchant.com is proud to present the two first-ever Warchant.com Cowgirls:

"Jess and I represent the best of the best of Florida State," Nikki said.

"We're both amazing people with great hearts and are both dedicated to the

Seminoles. We're a great example of what the Warchant.com Cowgirls should be

about."

Jess said. "I'm looking forward to working with Nikki to support the

Noles."

This decision does not in any way affect the second round in June or the

third one in August. Only one Cowgirl from each of those will be named for

a total of 4 at the end of the summer when all is said and done.

We're already taking applications for round two.
