TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- For the second straight week Bobby Bowden let the cat out of the bag on Monday.
During his weekly luncheon with the Seminole Boosters, the first question posed to the 'Noles' head coach is which quarterback would be starting this Saturday when Florida State hosts No. 23 Wake Forest.
"We will probably go like we did last week (with Xavier Lee) unless something happens during the week," Bowden answered.
That response brought loud cheers from the several hundred Seminole fans in attendance.
Last Saturday against Virginia, Lee completed 12 of 25 for 185 yards, had one touchdown and no interceptions. He also wasn't sacked in the game and ran for 49 yards on four carries.
"That's one reason why (running) we are going to go with him this weekend," Bowden added.
This Saturday will be Lee's third straight start. On the season, he has completed 51.7 percent of his attempts, thrown five touchdowns and had three interceptions (all in the Duke game).
Drew Weatherford has been battling an ankle injury the past couple weeks but still played most of the fourth quarter against Virginia. Bowden said he will be available this weekend.
Saturday's Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcast by ABC.
