Excellent read DC. Really in depth stuff there. Covered just about every position...even that dude can't yell at you again for not including a paragraph about the 4th QB. Great observational analysis.

I agree with earlier poster that coach Brewster is going to take NOL to the next level. Would have thought Coach Kelly would have thrown Tel. Smith out there as his best...but love that the coaches are interacting this way.

Love the news about the QBs and RBs.

Great, great read. Thanks!

DCREEVES, im not gonna lie man. This has been by far the best couple of days for me in a while. They don't understand how much we really enjoy these updates. And I promise you are not tipping off any other programs to what we are trying to do. What do we need to do as a fan base to have all the practices or at least most of the practices open to yall? This insight the last couple of days has been second to none. Thanks for the hard work and keep it up. From your reports I really believe its going to be impossible to keep Mr. Winston off the field. It sounds like he has the IT factor. I really believe he is the most athletic QB we've had in a long time. What's your opionion on that( Winston being the most athletic QB we've had in a while?) DC? Thanks in advance and please keep these updates and info coming if you can. GO NOLES!

Is Winston the most athletic guy that's been around in a while? Probably so. But even with that, I'm not sure that guarantees him anything. More important than that, in the long term between now and fall it's going to take 1) good decisions in the system and 2) the ability to make all the throws consistently to win the job.

Your two points are spot-on DC'.  Decision making and making the throws are more important than athleticism every time.  Now if any of the QB candidates excel at those two things in addition to being athletic..........well that's cake.  Thing is, those two things are usually enhanced by experience more than is athleticism.  We'll see how it shakes out though; I'm sure the best QB, even if he has cement overshoes, will start at QB.  I'm not sweating the decision at all.

Dont think Wenke was a great runner...was a Heisman winner..not because of his legs!!..Was in the top 3 of QBs in FSU history!!!

Weinke was 13 years ago with a different offensive coordinator. Also, offensive football has evolved in general where mobile QBs are more valuable. im not saying that Clint cant be the starter, but it seems that Jameis has everything a head coach wants and needs, and he does it very well

I said our great QBs could do it with either their legs or their arms. They were great at one or the other or both. Clint does not have Chris Weinke's arm. Don't go there.

Please don't make that comparison at all...

Just reading the QB highlights sounds like Jameis offers everything that Jimbo wants his QBs to be able to do. The guy can run a bootleg and end up breaking it 50 yards. He can also throw the ball with touch or with zip. I know some people believe in having the guy out there that knows the offense best but sometimes having a guy who can make huge plays and has undeniable talent supersedes just knowing the offense and being steady. If you can never make huge game breaking plays then I don't know if I want you out there as an FSU QB. FSUs best QBs could make big plays with either their arm or their legs.
