I guess being a returning 3 yr starter, freshman all american, a top 10 5 star recruit, and having the work ethic 2nd to none does mean something after all. I can't wait for so many on here to eat crow when he is starting at Pitt on Labor Day.

"Jacobbi McDaniel continued to get some first team reps"  meaning Goldman was likely getting some as well.  Also as mentioned McAllister is out for the spring.  Don't get your hopes up too high on Jacobbi starting, but, I'm very glad to hear he is doing well.

Correct. Goldman was in there, Derrick Mitchell even got some late in practice. Not saying he's going to be a starter -  McAllister and Goldman are ahead of him right now - but just the fact that he's shown enough to merit first-team snaps is impressive considering what he's been through.

Remember, this guy hasn't played in a game since October 2011. Would have been easy to not work his way back.

McCallister is out for the spring.

Good read. Thanks.

DC: Quit wasting time making excuses for Coker. If his foot is limiting him, say that and give us honest evaluation. It's hard to understand what you are getting at:

" but you have to wonder if it's affecting accuracy. Any accuracy issues weren't noticeable, however."

Huh?

Also, the daily comment that you think Comer has best arm, while not saying which throw he's displaying it on...
Outs?
Quick slants?
Deep balls?
To who? Describe the play?
Please provide basis for your daily recitation that Coker has strongest arm.

According to family,  Coker has a broken bone in his foot.  He got it doing 4th qt drills.   He wears a boot when not practicing.   During practice he wears a steel insert to protect the foot.  It does not allow him to drive off his foot.  They want him to work from the pocket.  The head trainer said it would not be healed until after the spring.  They expect him to be full speed for August.  Nobody is making excuses, especially not Coker. Just the facts.

As has always been the rule, if you have a problem or issue with anything, hand it via email, and do not post it on the boards.

Booker is right about this, but that's OK I'll just answer this here:

What I was saying there is that on this particular Thursday, Coker's accuracy didn't seem to be affected. But long term, you have to wonder (as in the rest of the spring) if accuracy becomes an issue.

As far as judging his arm, that isn't a determination I've made in the past two days. We've seen him practice and warm up for more than two years and I'm telling you, he's got the biggest arm. To be clear, all four are capable, it's not like one guy has a weak arm, I just believe Coker has a cannon.

Understood.  Thanks.  To be clear, I wasn't trying to complain, but ask for clarification on point that I'm obsessed with (who our QB is going to be).

These practice reports have been a good read.  Keep it up till they kick you out.
