With all due respect to Warchant/Dot/Rivals/Partners/Mods etc., etc., leave anyone out? .... It just don't wash about the so called scalping rules. Especially considering all the members who pay to view 'premium content', boards, etc., which then some of same (content) is then released to those who merely wander by and don't pay a dime. But hey, their site, their rules, that's cool by me. I am free to unsubscribe at anytime, I realize that.
Selling tix over face value does not always equate to scalping, but they can call it what they want. Package deals w/ stadium seats, hotels (at inflated costs during football season), priority games and parking passes are much more expensive to the seller than the so called face value of a ticket(s) and should be considered where applicable. Those options are clearly stated.
A website owner can control it to a certain degree, but there will be times when they can't, period. Disclaimers help a bunch, but it doesn't weed out all the oops, I forgot ... posters and other website owners who wander by and can get really, really creative.
It really doesn't matter, even without Warchant and partners, or eBay to sell, there are plenty of 'sites' that openly offer to sell seats over market value/fair value and some even offer to buy them, then resell them.
I enjoy reading posts on Warchant and get a huge kick out of some of the stories, I subscribe, very rarely post.
I'm a Booster to provide something back, and go to games,.. now that gets my juices flowing. My love for the great institution that provided a top notch education, provided the best time of my life, and allowed me to 'find' my wife. Now that's what I'm talking 'bout. Go Noles.
BTW, notice the increase in ads lately, not to mention the RSS Feeds. Way too funny. Much more clutter IMHO, looks like all the content was moved to make room for the ads. Maybe it was just reorganized to make room for more content. :)
Everyone has provided valid arguments for both sides, bottom line, it just don't matter. We are merely guests, er, paid guests. :) Peace, noobs. Go Noles! -----------------> Mark
