The majority of the 4th round FA Cup games are today. MUFC is no way a lock to get past Fulham. Alot of people think that the FA Cup is no big deal, but I still think that it's a pretty prestigious trophy and I wish that United would try harder to win it.

I see Arse and Brighton are all square and MK Dons is up 2-0 on QPR. (BTW, a couple of rounds ago, MK Dons beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1, when MK scored at the death on an incredible heel shot. MK once was Wimbledon and this was the first time that the two teams have played since the Dons bolted. MK was the home team and Wimbledon tied the match at 1 around the 70th minute. The 3,000 Wimbledon fans celebrated and some even raced on the field. I thought it was one of the better celebrations that I have seen in a long while, and AFC only tied the game. I was hoping for a draw and a replay with AFC being the home team).

What about Bradford City making the finals of the League Cup? They are ranked 78th in the FA and currently reside 10th in League Two. I love stories like this, the small fish making big waves.

Anyone else think that the FA is going to tack on another 2-3 games to Hazard for a total of a 5-6 game ban.

Anyone else hear rumors of a David De Gea swap for Barca's Victor Valdes or Real's Iker Casillas?

Walcott has put Arse ahead 3-2 with 5 to play, and Dons are pounding on QPR 4-1 as I type.
1/26 11:54 AM | IP: Logged
Gunners get the win, as do the Dons. As does City. 8 minutes of extra time in the the Middlesboro/Aldershot match. That's a lot of injury time.
1/26 11:59 AM | IP: Logged

I saw Walcott's game winner. He quietly has 17 goals this year, I wouldn't have thought that he has that many.

Wonder why Brighton didn't go with PIG(Kuszczak) in net, he's been their #1 keeper this year and might have made a difference.

Non-league Luton Town defeats Norwich 1-0 to become the first non-league team to beat a top flight team on the road since 1989.

Luton actually won the League Cup in 1988 with a win over Arse and lost in the FA Cup semi-final in 1994. They have been playing in the Conference since 2009 beacuse of financial ruins.

Surprised but glad to see Rooney in there.

Penalty to United!

More like Ronaldo or Nani, but truth be told, my first thought was Torres...

"As if to drive home the point that their own ball boys had come in peace, Brentford had them form a guard of honour as the European champions took the field, each of them waving a large white flag."

LMAO!!!

I searched desperately for pics or videos of this, but apparently none have been posted to the web yet. That had to be a HILARIOUS site though.

Luton, Brentwood, Leeds (I hate them) and now Oldham. I love the FA Cup and how it means everything for some of the lower teams. Chelsea, as usual played close to a full team today, and Brentwood had the 12th man out there for them, but good for Brentwood. They might lose the replay 8-0, but it's another day that they can cash in on.

When Reading won promotion last year, the 20,000 fans stormed the field and carried off the players. I loved when AFC tied up their match with MK Dons because of the fan reaction. Brentwood and the white flags!!!! I always look for lower teams to root for, and I root for AFC Wimbledon and Reading, and now I will root for Brentwood when they play.

I will see if I can scour up a pitcure of the white flags.

With Macheda to Stuttgart, I have a new Bundesliga team to root for.

Just found this interesting stat on Torres being back:

Torres's 14 goals this season have come against:

Brentford 1 (a)
A Villa 1 (h)
Leeds 1 (a)
Monterry 1 (n)
Sunderland 2 (a)
FC Nords 2 (h)
Shaktar 1 (h)
Norwich 1 (h)
Arsenal 1 (a)
Wolves 1 (h)
Newcastle 1 (h)
Reading 1 (h)

Don't sell the Peasants short yet, Manch. They've drawn within 3-2 with 10 minutes left.
1/27 12:43 PM | IP: Logged

Ed, you're correct, but the way Oldham has come out and play is great. Lieverpool picked it up a notch when Gerrard came on. 3-2 in the 89th. Probably get at least 4 minutes of stoppage time.

I believe the 5th round draw will be live on Fox Soccer right after the Oldham/Liverpool match.

The full list of draw numbers is as follows:

1. Luton Town

2. Oldham Athletic or Liverpool

3. Wigan Athletic

4. Blackburn Rovers

5. Barnsley

6. Middlesbrough

7. Millwall

8. Leeds United

9. Arsenal

10. Manchester City

11. Manchester United

12. Brentford or Chelsea

13. Reading

14. Huddersfield Town v Leicester City

15. MK Dons

16. Everton

How do you guys like the studio of Rob Stone, Warren Barton and Eric Wynalda? I love them and they can keep McBride home on Sundays.

4 minutes left.

Wow, I really love the FA Cup, sometimes even more than the CL. The fans are now storming the field, I love the fan reactions when upsets like this happen!!

Can't find a shot of the Brentwood ballboys, yet.

Me too. 1 point away from the relegation zone in League One, and they send the Peasants packing. I freaking love this!

United has drawn City (a), Liverpool (a), Chelsea (a), West Ham (a) and Fulham (h) in their last 5 domestic cups draws, so I expect nothing less than a top tier BPL team, on the road in the upcoming 5th round draw.

The top 4 teams were still in the bucket with about 4 games left to be drawn.

Arse V Blackburn
City v Leeds (2 teams that hate each other)
United V Reading
Middlesbrough v Chelsea/Brentwood

likeaG5, you don't like the Fox studio guys at all? I think they're pretty good and better than anything ESPN throws out there.

Macca is far better than all of them. I hope NBC Sports hires the likes of Andy Gray and somebody else who aren't clowns. Then again, I don't follow the American National team so I prefer a different taste.

The draw:

Huddersfield or Leicester vs. Wigan
MK Dons vs. Barnsley
Oldham Athletic vs.Everton
Luton Town vs. Millwall
Arsenal vs. Blackburn Rovers
Manchester City vs. Leeds United
Manchester United vs. Reading
Middlesborough vs. Brentford or Chelsea

Also, next Sunday we get City and Liverpool.

Macca is great. I love is commentary and he is usually spot on. Ian Darke is good also.

I was referring to the studio guys that ESPN puts out there. Lalas is horrible.

I would love to see McManaman team up with Martin Tyler and do some games.

When does NBC replace Fox? Is it just for the BPL? Will they cover just as many games as FoxSoccer does now?

1/27 1:24 PM | IP: Logged

Just read up on NBC. So what happens to FoxSoccer now? Does it go belly up like GolTV?

ESPN leased games from FoxSoccer on Saturdays, I wonder if they will do the same with NBC, highly doubful:

Since Comcast and NBC Universal rebranded the network previously known as Versus as NBC Sports Network in January, they have gradually been building a portfolio of properties in an attempt to cut into ESPN's dominance of sports cable television .

Lalas and Twelman don't do studio for EPL ESPN games, so I was confused. NBC Sports bought the rights to every EPL game starting next year. So pretty much they will only have CL. They are supposed to cover every game on either NBC Sports network, NBC, NBC online and whatever channels else they own. Kind of like how they cover the Olympics. We shall see if its better or not or if they will charge or not like FSC/FSC Plus does.

I did, but I don' think he single handedly costed us the game.

Balotelli sold to Milan. He's one of my favorite non Liverpool players and it sucks that I wont be able to see him play anymore apart from CL, and National Team. A steal for Milan.
1/29 12:42 PM | IP: Logged

Sold for about 20 million pounds less than what City paid for him and he also took a decent pay cut to head over to Milan.

Is Serie A on that new BEin channel? I know alot of La Liga rebroadcasts are on and I believe Real/Barca are on live tomorrow in the Copa Del Ray.

I'm not sure if BEIN have Serie A... I know they have La Liga and that game u said  is on tomorrow (will be watching Pool vs Arsenal). The problem is I would rather watch paint dry then Serie A.
FSC needs to buy the rights to the Bundlesiga when they lose EPL. Not sure if its worth paying for just CL.

At the age of 21, Balotelli had 19 goals for City last year. A top young Italian for Milan, no brainer.

Ha! not sure how i feel about Balotelli leaving City... i kind of enjoyed having him there to be a problem child... but he is great talent that they wont have any longer.

my fear is that they will pony up the big money for Falcao or someone to replace him.

here's to hoping QPR can steal one away from them today!

I can't watch the Serie A either, stands are empty and the announcers are emotionless.

BEIN shows alot of Ligue 1, which I can't stand either.

beIN is great for La Liga, but they usually show everything else on delay.  The one great thing I like about beIN is the show Global Game.  It's usually hosted by Richard Keys and Andy Gray with a special guest, and they analyze all the big games for about an hour.

Those are the people NBC Sports should hire when they get EPL. I will watch that, thanks for the heads up. Do you watch sort of bad reality tv 'the next football star' on Fox Soccer? It's Celtic FC and they pulled kids from Ireland? One of them will be given a youth contract.

Beckham is going to PSG, wow. Did not think he was good enough for a team like that anymore. Will watch PSG in the CL.
Pretty good Liverpool Arsenal game yesterday.

I was flipping beteween Liverpool/Real and United yesterday and had City on the laptop.

I would have loved to catch the end of that Chelsea/Reading match. That crowd must have went nuts in the 95th minute.

PSG are trying to make a splash and Becks does that for sure.  Even if just on the marketing side.  I have to imagine that this will be Sportcenter worthy and PSG isnt getting on there without the likes of Becks.

I just hope that when NBC takes over next year that we still get the British guys calling the game.  ESPN having their own guys call the matches is good because they use the Brits.  I dont like when ESPN or FSC use former American soccer players to either analyze or call a game because they always seem to have a chip on their shoulder that American audiences would rather watch European matches than American.

Agree. let them handle MLS games/ USA Mens national team. I think for the last MENS World Cup they hand July Fowdy doing studio work, wtf?

Big City vs Liverpool game before Super Bowl Sunday. Gonna be a great day.
