Puts into perspective how big it is when you see all those trucks parked inside of it. Nice pics! Can't wait for it to be finished!

The photo with the soccer field and players in the foreground really puts it into perspective how massive that building is.

To me, the photo with the truck inside the building puts it into perspective.

Thank you Mr. Dunlap...wow very impressive.  This thing is no joke.

Will this also be utilized for indoor track and field events and practice?

Drove by and around the IPF today and must say these photos (and any photos) can not really convey how massive this thing is.  It makes Dick Howser look small.

It is going up quick. That crew is hustling. Looks great!

Real nice!

Any chance we get some pics from looking down from the stadium?

I'd like to see how it fits around the practice fields and Howser!

Pics are great to see.  I think all of us out-of-towners really appreciate them.

Will it be air conditioned or will it just be vented? If AC that's a huge bill.

Also, what's the wall between (what looks to me) the baseball field and the other practice fields?

trucks look like match-box cars in there.  Seems bigger then the others around the ACC but I think they are mostly regulation..  GT is like 80 yards or something.

I was gonna say the same thing. Drove by there today as well. Did not realize it would take up as much space as it does. ALso did not know they were expanding the prcatice field out and taking over part of the parking lot.

IMO I think normally punting would be able to happen but practicing short, high punting won't happen.

Looking good. Any reaction or comments from the recruits?

The IPF looks great! But the roof isn't actually going to be white/steel looking is it? I have heard that the IPF is going to look different from what the website shows, I just really hope the white is going to be covered by garnet or something. Because that would look really out of place since every other roof on campus is garnet or brown. If someone knows the answer I would appreciate it.

Relax Francis. Always has to be one of you with a negative comment. We got an excellent IPF going up and that still isn't enough to satisfy you.

Not serious, right?
1/29 11:06 PM | IP: Logged

I don't think the roof will be painted garnet.  That would be a heat, fading and re-painting disaster. There is a strong movement for "white roofs" today......it makes a heck of a lot of difference in energy needed to cool in the South and in reducing heat generated by buildings.

As to the height, I have been under the roof.  It should be able to allow all passing, kickoffs, and most punting. Some booming punts might hit the roof.

Also, the construction company is owned by former Seminole tight-end Sam Childers.  He is doing a heck of a job and you can be sure that he and his company take real personal pride in their work for #84's alma mater. Seminolesam

I heard Jameis Winston could chuck a ball over the roof, lol!!

When it's finished, it's going to look very, very good.  Undoubtedly, they are going to keep the aesthetic facade of the brick and is really going to add to the view coming down Pensacola to Stadium.

Really?  That is cool.  I was wondering who was the construction company on the project.

I have a green metal roof on a shed and black on my house......no maintenance needed...

The roof needs to be red ...it's our color....just spray foam the underside, problem solved.

Well there did seem to be a few seasons from 2001-2009 where there were claims of more thunderstorms than usual just in Tally that were attributed to poor play after resulting losses to the likes of Wake, Louisville, BC, NCS, etc. etc........................
