Going to make this simple.  Under the current arrangement in the ACC, and assuming the Big 12 extends an offer from FSU to join the conference, what should FSU do?

I realize there are a lot of factors to consider, and some we don't even know yet, but wanted to get a general feeling on where the fans of Warchant stand on this hot topic.

Thanks.

Count me in as not being able to vote because I'm on the ap. Also count me in for being in favor of leaving for the Big12.

Voted to go, but I assumed that:

1.  A review of the TV deals post FSU being added to the B12 puts the annual income at around $22M and the ACC annual income is around $17M.  There is no consideration of the back loading issues or the Tier 3 stuff.

2.  The B12 will pay half our exit fee.

GET OUT NOW! Really...get out now. Don't care where we go, just get out. In all seriousness though..I'm afraid we are gonna lose this coaching staff if we don't do something. Loyalty is one thing, but bottom line is $$$ and we all know it...and right now we don't have it and it ain't gonna be there in the future if we don't get out NOW.

Can't answer this question until all the factors are in place. Travel, schedule, what happens to our rivalries with UM and UF? What type of money are we talking? Where will the Big 12 title game be played ect ect. Do we get our own network? How stable is the Big 12 itself? How committed is Texas to staying in the big 12 and not going independent?

If Texas were to go independent OU and Ok St are bolting for the Pac 12. Where would that leave FSU if we are 5 years into the conference?

Lots of things to consider. You can't just have a knee jerk reaction.

97/3. I know there a hundred points to consider when making a choice of this magnitude but it's a good things the fans and boosters are aligned.

And what happens if VaTech and NCState leave the ACC for the SEC?  Where does that leave FSU?

Decisions cannot be made based upon "what ifs".  What if Texas goes, what if VaTech goes, what if ND joins.

It is clear that the ACC has been grossly mismanaged and cannot fund big time football.

FSU will not be able to keep up in the ACC, whether VaTech and NCState stay or go.

As Jim Smith said, FSU is at a cross roads - If FSU is going to continue to run with the big dawgs, it needs Bif Dawg financial resources to do so.   The ACC ain't it.

Big-12, FSU here we come.

Big 12 has signed a 13 year GOR.

ACC has signed none.

That alone makes the Big 12 more stable.

Then there is the business plan of the ACC to focus on basketball versus football, the TV revenue, bowl tieins, play off format and the financial implications.

ACC is NOT safe......not even close.

...although I live in Connecticut and have enjoyed traveling to BC, Maryland and Virginia games, I do believe it's in the best interests of Florida State to go to the Big XII.  More $$$, a football-centered conference and a better opportunity to make the coming four-team national championship playoff.

FSU should get out solely based on the corrupt officiating over the years and this past year it was insanely stacked AGAINST FSU, let alone the money isssues.

Long term staying in the ACC will eventually emasculate our athletics department and we WILL not be able to compete at the level we've enjoyed in the past.

Hell, CUSA, MAC, Sunbelt...anything but Swofford's ACC... (hyperbole...but not by much).

ACC all the way unless the Big 12 has some serious cash that is more definitive than internet speculation.  I'm 100% sure our fans will have conference remorse after watching a few of our games on Fox from Iowa!

Poor scheduling, poor officiating, poor TV contracts and a conference commissioner that's blatantly biased. Yeah, staying in the ACC really makes sense.

Big XII in a landslide.
