ACC officials would have blown that play dead, you know.

ACC officials today would have ejected Greg Jones for his hit on Dexter Reid.

^^Personally I would have gone for Dexter Carter's first rush from scrimmage in the '89 Miami game.  The one where he bounced it outside and took off down the sidelines for a 63yd score.  I probably would have heard the crowd all the way over here.

I meant this run, just got the year mixed up, the camara shook on it because the crowd was pumped, and the 88 game is one to forget

- Tay Cody blocking a FG against Clemson that would have tied the game with under 2 minutes left in 1999.

- If every game was a bowl game, Tony Carter would be a one man wrecking crew.
    - 2005 against Penn State:  Had an INT, 4 solo tackles (6 total) and a pass breakup.
    - 2006 Emerald Bowl MVP against UCLA, had an 86yd TD on INT to seal the win.
    - 2007 against Kentucky had a 51 yard fumble return to setup our first TD and had a 24 yd TD INT return to tie the game  later.  Was the 3rd bowl game in a row with an INT and second in a row with a scoring INT.

- Tony Carter again with ACC Specialist of the Week honors in his 2006 sophomore game against Clemson.  Totaled 8 points in the game after returning a blocked PAT for 2 points in the 1st qtr and blocked a field goal for 6 points in the 2nd qtr.  Actually Clemson 8-6 himself with under a minute to go before halftime.  Had 2 turnovers and some bad sacks and our D struggled.  Took them scoring on a 1 yard play with 8 seconds left to win, but without him we aren't even in that game imo.  Finished the year ranked 7th on the team in scoring with 20 points all from the defensive side of the ball.

- Lorenzo Booker had some nasty runs in the game against UCLA himself and left some guys hugging air.  Had over 200 yards of offense himself, 2 TD's, one from 25 yards out, had another 25 yard run and at least 3 more 10+ yard runs and receptions of 37, 28, 22 and 26 yards.  How often do you see a RB have 4 20+ yard receptions?

Fast Freddy Biletnikoff  taking an interception 99 yards off a pass thrown by George Mira of the Miami Hurricanes for a touchdown, a record until Deion broke it by one yard.

Larry Key's second half kickoff return vs Texas Tech in the old Tangerine Bowl.  Oh those beautiful jingling keys!

Roger Overby holding up the football after his third touchdown catch of the day, one of the most famous images in FSU football history.

1967 vs University of Alabama, whatever the play was that ABC cameras captured Bear Bryant yelling, "What the hell is going on out there?"

Any play that results in coach Superior throwing his visor!

Any of the three long TDs against UM in 93 to break the wide right jinx. Especially the Devin Bush INT retunr for a TD that sealded the victory.

Another favorite was Willie Reids punt return against Va Tech in the first ACC title game.

Dr Sonny, thanks for one for the old guys. My nomination was Belitnikoff's over the should 55 yrder against, you guessed it-UF, in the first Tallahassee game in '64. That was when we really believed we could win, and did!

Dominic Robinson catch on 4th and 11.  It's secondary to the Rix bomb to PK, but without it there is no pass to PK.

Sean Jackson TD run down the sidelines against Miami in '93.  Pandemonium in Doak.  Set the stage for the rest of the game.

Ward TD run against Virginia in 1993 where he leaped over a defender in the end zone.

Tamarick Vanover TD return on opening kickoff of '92 Miami game.

Underrated Sean Jackson.

It's never mentioned - but - the final play of the game against Nebreska in our first championship.  They had a 41 yard field goal to win.  Look at the Sports Illustrated picture in the championship issue.  Those guys were SKY HIGH and CRASHING to block that kick.  The pressure made him miss.
