Four-star Georgia defender Jaron Willis was already committed to Georgia Tech when he started his official visit to Florida State on Friday, and he was still committed to the Yellow Jackets when he went home on Sunday.
But whether that commitment remains firm in the future remains to be seen.
Willis, who was one of nine official visitors at FSU this weekend, said repeatedly Sunday that the Seminoles gave him "a lot to think about."
“It went well, I loved everything about it," the Rivals250 prospect said. "My first time stepping in Doak Campbell was magical. Seeing it on TV, sitting in the stands. Finally, just putting my two feet on the ground -- that really caught my attention.”

Willis, who is being recruited by Georgia Tech as a safety, said FSU plans to play him at "stud" linebacker if he were to choose the Seminoles.
“I really feel comfortable with that,” the Lee County, Ga., star explained. “They see me there. They just want me on the field to make plays, run around and be a ball player. ... Basically, it’s just a bigger-body nickel.”

The chance to speak with the FSU staff in person about where he fits in the defensive lineup was very important for Willis. He says he, “has a lot of rethinking to do” after finally being on Florida State’s campus.
“A lot of teams are recruiting me at different spots. Me and my athleticism, I am always questioning where do I see myself playing at this level,” Willis said. “For Georgia Tech, my talents would be best at safety. And here, my talents would be best at 'stud.' Its just who has the best scheme for me.”
When he talked with FSU head coach Mike Norvell, one of Willis’ first takeaways was how much of a priority he is.
“Coach Norvell talked about family. His family, for me, just means something different. He just wants me to come play for him,” the Rivals250 defender said. “We’ll see. There’s a lot of rethinking for me to do right now.”
Even though he is committed to Georgia Tech, Willis grew up a huge fan of FSU.
“You know, like everybody says, I am a die-hard FSU fan. That’s just my dream school,” Willis said. “Finally, I can just see where it came from when Coach Fisher (Jimbo Fisher) was here to now Coach Norvell got here. I love what Coach Norvell is doing already in just one year. It looks like he’s already turning it around.”
