It wasn't a long stay in Tallahassee for assistant coach Billy Napier.
Warchant.com has confirmed that Napier, 32, has left FSU to become the wide receivers coach at Alabama. Napier worked at Alabama for one season as an offensive quality control assistant in 2011 before taking the offensive coordinator job at Colorado State this past season.
Napier was one of five assistant coaches hired by FSU coach Jimbo Fisher in the offseason. Before Napier's decision, Fisher was in the process of hiring an offensive assistant to replace James Coley, who took the offensive coordinator job at Miami late last month.
Florida State officially announced Napier's hire on January 15. Prior to his one season at Alabama in 2011, Napier spent 2006-10 seasons as an offensive assistant at Clemson.
