Kissimmee Osceola three-star defensive back Carlos Becker narrowed his list down to two schools, Florida State and Ohio State, this past weekend. But in the end, Becker went with the school that he felt the most comfortable with from the start as he announced he would sign with the Seminoles over the Buckeyes on Wednesday morning.

Becker, who joins what is expected to be a strong group of defensive backs in this class for FSU, seemed to be leaning toward the Seminoles since his official visit to FSU in mid-January.

"I had a great time on the FSU visit. I would say everything really stood out to me, just everything," Becker said at the time. "There was never a dull moment."

It was more than just the facilities that made an impression on Becker, it was the relationships he formed with FSU's players. He especially enjoyed spending time with former five-star defensive back Derwin James, who showed Becker the ropes at FSU and explained why Charles Kelly is a special defensive coordinator.

"He's a great guy," Becker said of James. "He told me Coach Kelly is the real deal and that it's a great place to be. He's a coach that will always be there for you."

With Becker in the fold, the 'Noles have certainly filled all their needs at the cornerback position as they also are bringing in highly rated CBs Levonta Taylor and Kyle Meyers.
