Rome, Ga., defensive lineman Jamarcus Chatman had never been to Florida State before this past weekend, and he said the trip for his official visit more than met his expectations.
"Oh yes sir, it definitely did," Chatman said. "I was really impressed. I never thought I would be this comfortable with everything. Being around the players, coaches and just the overall people here. It went far beyond my expectations."
Chatman, who said he measured in at 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds during the visit, gave the Seminoles high marks in several areas. But the portion of the visit that might have made the biggest impact was the academic presentation.
"One of the main things for me that I really liked was the academics this weekend," Chatman said. "I got a chance to go into the broadcast room and see how they do things and how they edit stuff. I feel great about everything in general, but that caught my attention."
