Fisher camp insider: Joyner firm, and 2019 targets close to pulling trigger
Here's the latest from day one of the July Jimbo Fisher Camp including the latest on FSU commitment Patrick Joyner, and some 2019 recruits that could be on the verge of committing.
Does the Alabama offer shake things up for FSU commit Joyner?
When it comes to Alabama they have a history for pushing for Florida State commitments. Two recent signees that the Tide chased until the end include Janarius Robinson and Keith Gavin. The 'Noles are hoping for the trend of fending off Nick Saban will continue with Patrick Joyner, who recently received an Alabama offer.
"Nothing changed. I feel really good about FSU," said Joyner." The Alabama offer tells me what they think of me. But the connection I have with FSU makes my commitment even stronger. The vibe I get there. The way that coach me, and the way I feel with him, nothing changed."
Joyner has visited Florida State at least three or four times this year. On his last visit in June, the three-star linebacker got a chance to work out for the coaching staff. However, this time he wanted to soak up the atmosphere, hang out with a lot of the current players and watch the coaches in action.
So what was the vibe this time around?
