In our final notebook from the June Jimbo Fisher Camp, we catch up with a lesser-known quarterback who impressed FSU's coaches enough to receive a scholarship offer and also get the latest from four-star defensive back Houston Griffith from IMG Academy.

2018 QB Will Levis receives good news from the Noles

Middletown, Conn., quarterback Will Levis knew that Florida State was interested when he was personally invited by FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher to participate in the Seminoles' June camp in Tallahassee.

Then after delivering an impressive performance at the camp, the three-star 2018 prospect found out just how serious FSU was when he received a call from quarterbacks coach Randy Sanders.

"Coach Sanders called me back and said he was very impressed and that they were offering me a scholarship," Levis said. "He said they were conveying and talking it over today. I'm very excited about it."

The 'Noles aren't the only program taking a liking to the 6-foot, 4-inch signal-caller. Just last weekend he received an offer from Iowa. He also recently picked up offers from North Carolina and Ole Miss.

That newfound interest means Levis will have a lot to think about during the recruiting process, but the Connecticut product made it clear that the 'Noles made an impression.

"I know Coach Fisher's tradition at QB," he said. "I've also developed a great relationship with Coach [Jay] Graham for a while. Then getting to throw for [Fisher] was great, and I felt very good about how I threw. Then to see the campus was incredible. Everything was beautiful."

With so many new offers on the table, is Levis any closer to making a decision?

"My timeline is that I was going to decide before the season starts," he said. "But now I think I need to slow things down a little more and think about all the opportunities I've been given. I need to make sure it's the best decision made. The next couple of weeks, I'm going to talk with my family about it and put my trust in God to direct me in the right way."

Levis said he has no plans to take any other visits at this stage. He believes he's seen all that he needs to see from Florida State, but if things get serious with the 'Noles, he might make another trip just to be sure.
