Starting today, Florida State will welcome in several hundred young athletes for the annual Bobby Bowden Football Camp. In fact, the total number of campers could reach as high as 1,000 when the second session concludes on July 12th.

Athletes as young as nine years old may participate but the camp also draws in a large number of rising senior recruits from all over the Southeast. This year should be no exception.
Last year some of the notable players that took part were FSU signees Jamie Robinson, Neefy Moffett, Graham Gano and Matt Dunham as well as several recruits that signed with other major Division 1A programs such as Ryan Perrilloux (LSU), O.J. Murdock (South Carolina), Jon Demps (Florida) and Tray Blackmon (Auburn).
Not only does the camp serve as another unofficial visit for prospects already targeted by FSU, it also allows the Seminole coaches to evaluate recruits that are being considered for scholarship offers.
"It's a two-way street," FSU recruiting coordinator John Lilly said. "It's nice from our standpoint selfishly to be around guys and see how they work, see how they react to different things and see how their abilities are. It certainly goes the other way since they get the opportunity to be at Florida State and be in Tallahassee."
Session I gets underway with registration and testing this afternoon and will conclude on the morning of the 9th. The second session will start on Sunday afternoon and run through July 12th.
Warchant.com will have complete coverage for subscribers through both sessions of the camp with daily updates, photos, features and video.
Here are few of the top prospects that have expressed an interest in attending one of the two sessions of the camp:
