4-star Alabama LB Kennedy impressed with FSU visit, Woodie
There's usually at least one surprise visitor at every Florida State Junior Day, and this time around it might have been Alabama linebacker Demouy Kennedy.
Kennedy, who is one of several Alabama prospects the Seminoles are getting involved with, already had developed a strong connection with Florida State linebackers coach Raymond Woodie. And now that he's seen the campus and more of the program, the nation's No. 8 outside linebacker said he's even more intrigued.
"It was a great visit. I learned a lot of things about Florida State today," Kennedy said on Saturday. "What I noticed is how they take care of their players and how they practice physically. They are getting a new program, and they are building it very well."
Kennedy already was impressed by what he had seen from Woodie, the Seminoles' second-year linebackers coach, and those feelings only grew stronger after watching him coach during FSU's Saturday practice.
"He's a really great coach, fun to hang around and really just a great man when you get to know him personally," Kennedy said. "He's very detailed in his teachings."
