Florida State's newfound momentum on the recruiting trail appears to be kicking into high gear as the Seminoles landed another commitment for the Class of 2021 on Saturday.
Texas linebacker Jordan Eubanks, who recently dropped a "Top Six" list of schools and said he wasn't in a rush to make a commitment, apparently had a change of heart. On Saturday, he announced on Twitter that he has committed to the 'Noles.
Eubanks, a three-star prospect from Denton, Texas, announced earlier this month that his top schools were FSU, Arkansas, Michigan State, Pitt, Colorado and Arizona.
Because of the national recruiting shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, Eubanks has not visited many college campuses. Nevertheless, Eubanks shared his thoughts on why he picked the Noles?
"FSU was one of the first schools to believe in me and give me an opportunity. Not to mention it's a prestigious program, "said Eubanks.
The big question with the skill set of Eubanks is where is he going to line up for the Noles. The talented backer shined some light on that subject?
"FSU wants to use me as a 2/3 of the hybrid positions, stud and boundary safety, "Eubanks replied.
Lastly, another big part of this recruitment was the relationship that Eubanks built with the FSU staff. Particularly FSU linebackers coach Chris Marve.
"Coach Marve is a great guy and I knew that from the beginning. As well was Coach Norvell. There are both two individuals I'd like to develop as a player with. Coach Norvell was also super excited when I committed, "said Eubanks.

As a junior in high school, he was credited with 63 tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
This was FSU coach Mike Norvell's post on Twitter following the announcement:
Eubanks becomes FSU's ninth commiment for the 2021 class and the fourth in the month of May. One day earlier, the Seminoles landed a commitment from wide receiver Joshua Burrell of South Carolina.
