As the nation celebrated the July 4 holiday on Tuesday, the Florida State Seminoles got some fireworks of their own with a commitment from Rockledge, Fla., wide receiver Antoine Green.

Green becomes the Seminoles' 12th commitment for the 2018 class and the second wide receiver. He also is the second commit from the Space Coast area, joining athlete Jashaun Corbin.

Throughout the recruiting process, Green made it clear that Florida State was the offer he had been waiting on. So when the talented wideout put on a show at the Jimbo Fisher Camp in June and earned that offer, he couldn't hide his excitement.

"That's my dream offer and the school I've always loved," Green said. "That certainly speeds up my recruitment I would have to say. I just knew I had to put on a show and felt I did that."

Although he had several big offers to choose from, Green has been considered an FSU lean since he received the offer. Not just because he grew up loving the Seminoles, but because of how much he likes Fisher's offense.

"They throw the ball around a lot," Green said. "I've seen that over the years in just seeing the number of ways they get their playmakers the ball. So that was part of the attraction to me with FSU."
