FSU plans another big recruiting weekend for Louisville game
The big recruiting weekends are dwindling down for Florida State, and this weekend's matchup with Louisville will be one of the Seminoles' last chances to make a big impression on recruits. So while FSU's coaches are busy getting ready to contend with the Cardinals on the field, they'll also be welcoming a talented group of commits and other uncommitted targets.
Here's a breakdown of who will be visiting and where the Seminoles stand with each prospect.
OFFICIAL VISITORS
The Skinny on RB James Cook & FSU
It's been an up-and-down recruitment for Miami Central five-star RB James Cook, who decommitted from FSU earlier this year and is now focused on taking his visits before making a decision later this year. Cook visited UGA officially a few weeks ago, and the feeling currently is that the Bulldogs are the team to beat. Cook has even admitted as much in interviews. However, when it comes to Cook, there is always plenty of uncertainty regarding who he favors. And FSU has long been a school close to his heart.
Assuming Cook makes the visit, which is never a sure thing, this will be big because it will be his first chance to see an FSU game in person this year. The 'Noles believe they are still in the picture, and this visit will be key.
