FSU is the clear leader for DB Jiquavious Marshall after his official visit

The picture for Jiquavious Marshall's recruitment became a littler clearer for the Macon (Ga.) Westside prospect after his official visit to Florida State this weekend. The 6-foot-5 and 185-pound cornerback/safety prospect knows who the leader in his recruitment is.

"I definitely considered committing (during the visit)," said Marshall. "They definitely set the standard for any school that is wanting me. FSU is really on top right now ... Right now I have my mind made up until someone changes it."

Marshall got to spend time with several current Seminoles and with secondary coach Patrick Surtain.

"I love the facility, I love all the coaches, the bond I have with these guys," said Marshall. "He (Surtain) was just showing me the schemes they run. Basically, walking me through it as if I was already one of his players. I absolutely loved it."

He also spoke about head coach Mike Norvell's message to him this weekend.

"That if I commit here or come here, it's worth it," said Marshall. "He is going to make me into a better man, not just a football player."

While he plays cornerback for his high school, FSU told Marshall he could end up playing anywhere in the secondary. Marshall still plans to take official visits to Georgia Tech, Pitt and Kentucky later this month. He also currently plans to make a decision on who he will commit to at the end of June.
