After making a splash with five commitments late last week following Jimbo Fisher camp -- three for the 2018 class and two for 2019 -- the Florida State Seminoles landed another big one for '18 on Monday.

Four-star defensive back Israel Mukuamu of Bossier City, La., announced that he has committed to the Seminoles. The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder was a standout performer at FSU's June camp, and he came away extremely impressed with the Seminoles and defensive coordinator Charles Kelly.

"Yes sir, I committed to Florida State," Mukuamu told Warchant. "I would say I've known in my mind since that second visit on Sunday in June that I was going there. It was just everything. But a big part of it was on that Sunday visit that Coach Kelly took time away from his Father's Day to show me around. I knew then that's where I wanted to be and the guy I wanted coaching me."

Mukuamu was likely on Florida State's radar before the June camp, but the Seminoles' coaches were highly impressed by what they saw on the final day, as Mukuamu made a slew of impressive plays in pass coverage. FSU responded with an immediate offer, and the defensive back received a lot of positive feedback from Fisher and the other coaches.

"That was crazy, man," Mukuamu said at the time. "He said they loved me and said they haven't seen a player like me in a while, and they offered. He asked if they were going to be in the running for me, and I said they definitely are going to be in the running. He really liked my combination as a corner and safety here. They loved me."
