Florida State has been making major waves in the state of Texas over the past couple of years with the signings of LB Dontavious Jackson and DT Marvin Wilson. The Seminoles kept that momentum going on Thursday with another addition for the 2019 class.

Top 2019 defensive tackle Lloyd Murray announced via Twitter that he has committed to FSU. Murray, out of Wichita Falls, Texas, becomes the third commitment in the 2019 class, joining defensive ends Michael Morris and Quashon Fuller.

"Oh man, Coach [Tim] Brewster, Coach [Jimbo] Fisher, Coach [Odell] Haggins told me they have been watching my film since my freshman year," Murray told Warchant.com. "Coach Brew has been on me for a while. It's my turn to come. I've been there before. I came for the Clemson game. The environment was wild."

Murray said he plans on visiting FSU in the next couple weeks and again for the April 8 spring football game.

Naturally, defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins played a big role in Murray's commitment.

"FSU, that's my family. I've been thinking about this forever," he said. "Coach Haggins told me it was music to his ears when I committed tonight. Coach Haggins produces elite defensive tackles. Timmy Jernigan, Eddie Goldman, Derrick Nnadi, then it's going to be Marv [in 2017] and [Robert] Cooper in 2018. Then me in 2019."

Not surprisingly, Marvin Wilson's decision to sign with FSU made a strong impression on the Texas native.

"I've known Marvin like the back of my hand. That's like my big brother. I can ask him about everything," said Murray. "He's a great mentor to me. He was very excited about me committing and wish I was a senior."

So what does that Wilson, Murray connection mean for the future?

"Really it's going to be scary for opponents," said Murray. "Hopefully I grow a few more inches as I'm 6-foot-3, 310. With me and Marvin side by side, it's going to be scary, scary."
