Florida State's 2018 spring football game already was expected to be very well-attended, since it will be Seminole fans' first chance to see a Willie Taggart-coached team.

Now, there's another reason for it to be a spectacle.

For the first time since 2013 and only the second time in the last decade, FSU fans will be treated to a home baseball series the same weekend as the spring game.

According to multiple sources, the 2018 spring game at Doak Campbell Stadium has been set for Saturday, April 14. That will coincide with the second game of a three-game series between the Seminoles' baseball team and the Duke Blue Devils.

The baseball game that day is currently scheduled for 6 p.m., which would be a nice fit with an early afternoon spring game. But sources said the game time has not yet been determined.

Attending the spring game and a home baseball series was a longtime tradition for many fans, but the last time it occurred was before the 2013 season. FSU also played host to Duke that weekend inside Dick Howser Stadium.

The last time Seminole fans got to enjoy both sports in the same weekend before that was in April 2007.
