FSU Spring Game visitor preview: Top talent headed to Tallahassee
Florida State's annual Garnet and Gold Game is finally here, kicking off this Saturday at 3 p.m. at Doak Campbell Stadium. It's a chance for the fans to see what the 2017 Seminoles look like, and it's also an opportunity for many of the top recruits for the 2018 and 2019 classes to get an up-close look at the 'Noles.
Here's a preview of some of the top targets expected to make it Tallahassee for the spring game and where things stand in their recruitment heading into the busy weekend.

Fields will visit FSU on Sunday with his team, and he'll probably make it over late Saturday after playing 7-on-7 in Tally. This will be a good chance for him to see his comfort level around the FSU players. |
The Skinny on QB Justin Fields & FSU
This is certainly a big visit for FSU, even though Fields is coming over with his entire 7-on-7 team. Fields says he's excited about checking out FSU because that's a team he's been interested in for awhile. Georgia and Tennessee are also pushing hard here, but I get the impression FSU is going to be involved in this mix. Fields won't see the spring game, but he will be there afterwards to get a film breakdown and experience what the other recruits get to see.

Gunnell has been very high on FSU since getting an offer, and the communication has been very consistent. He visited Arkansas last weekend. Look for this visit to be about his comfort with Jimbo Fisher and QBs coach Randy Sanders, and what he sees with the FSU offense and his fit there. |
