Florida State will host two class of 2024 prospects on official visits this week. Cornerback prospect Cai Bates from Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater and wide receiver/defensive back prospect Jameer Grimsley from Tampa (Fla.) Catholic are both set to start their visits on Monday and be in Tallahassee until Wednesday.

Bates, who is 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, didn't lock in an official visit to FSU until last Friday and is the more highly ranked of the two prospects. He has already been on an official visit to Alabama earlier in June and visited Ohio State this past weekend.

In late May, Bates announced he was had narrowed his list of potential college homes to 10 schools: FSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Colorado, LSU, Tennessee, Florida, UCF, Texas A&M and Maryland.

With FSU already having four wide receivers committed for 2024 it is believed that the Seminoles are recruiting Grimsley, who is 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, as a defensive back but he plays on both sides of the ball in high school to this point in his career. Grimsley has been on the FSU campus several times on unofficial visits this year.

He has already taken an official visit to North Carolina earlier this month and was at Penn State this past weekend for an official visit. On the first day of June, he announced that he narrowed his list of potential college homes to eight schools: Florida State, Penn State, North Carolina, Michigan, Alabama, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Florida. Grimsley is also expected to take official visits to Alabama and Michigan.
