Impact Analysis: WR Ezzard could bring Boldin-like presence to FSU offense

All three of those prospects bring something important to the Seminoles, and with Ezzard, it's his size, impressive hands and physical nature. The Stockbridge, Ga., product told Warchant that he can't wait to show what he can do in Jimbo Fisher's offense.

"The coaches and the environment, I fell in love with it," Ezzard said. "I felt a vibe I've never felt anywhere else. I fit well in the offense they run, throwing the ball. Coaches feel they can line me up anywhere -- like slot, wideout -- wherever they need me."

Early in the process, most Seminole fans wouldn't have expected FSU had a real shot here as Ezzard seemed to be a big lean to Georgia. There were even reports from other recruits that he was trying to lure them to Athens, Ga.

But that was very early. Then his visit to FSU happened, and things shifted in a big way.

"The first visit, I was stunned about the campus and how beautiful everything was," the four-star receiver said. "But also how immediately the players accepted me like I was already on the team. Never seen anything like that. After that, I knew I wanted to go back there again. Me and my Dad loved it."

Because he just announced his plans to sign with FSU, Ezzard doesn't have a lot of targets he's currently recruiting to Tallahassee. But there is one he's been working on for awhile, and it could be the biggest target of them all for the 'Noles.

"Yes, I'm trying to get Justin Fields over here to FSU," Ezzard said of the five-star quarterback. "I think we are going to get him, but he's the main one I'm working on."
