FSU commit LB Patrick Joyner raved about his visit and commitment.

Out of all the visitors who were in Tallahassee this past weekend, Florida State linebacker commit Patrick Joyner might have been the most important. Even though he has remained a verbal commitment to the Seminoles, his hometown Miami Hurricanes have been pushing very hard.

While it certainly didn't help FSU's cause that the 'Noles fell to Louisville during the visit, Joyner insisted it did nothing to diminish his feelings for the program.

"It was really great. I got a chance to be around the campus again, which I love," Joyner said. "I spent a lot of time with Coach [Bill] Miller, Coach [Brad] Lawing and Coach [Tim] Brewster. I really felt right at home and can make a legacy here. That's why I committed and love it here so much."

Joyner, who is expected to play the strongside linebacker or "Buck" defensive end position at FSU, was hosted on the visit by defensive back and fellow South Florida native Ermon Lane.

"Ermon was my host. He showed me around really well," Joyner said. "I also spent a lot of time with James Blackman, Cam Akers, Stanford Samuels, and obviously Rosendo Louis, who was on an official visit too. You see the family right away. Even after the loss, that bond is never broken. It's a close family here, and that also makes me very comfortable with FSU."

In some recent interviews with other outlets, Joyner hasn't sounded quite as confident in his commitment to Florida State. But if that was the case before, it doesn't sound like it is anymore.

"I feel real solid with FSU. I don't see myself switching anywhere," he said. "I love Florida State and feel so comfortable here with everything. Not to mention the fit. I feel great about FSU."

Joyner has said throughout the recruiting process that he would take official visits to other schools. However, it doesn't sound like there will be many other stops, if any at all.
