Coach Brooke Wyckoff as well as guard Ta'Niya Latson and forward Makayla Timpson discuss their offseason, how valuable the time European trip was for Florida State and preview the team's first practice on Monday afternoon.

(Start of full team practices) "We’re thrilled to be back. It’s such an exciting time of year. School has started, football season and fall sports are in full swing. We’re all getting that feeling of it’s time, basketball season is right around the corner. This is such an amazing group and it’s been great to work out with them in the offseason."
(Outlook on this team) "We’ve got a great group of players. They’re very talented. We’ll look different than we did last year. We’re bigger. We have some more experience under our belts for our young ones that had to carry a lot of the load last year. But we’ve added some great pieces that really complement the pieces that we had. I think we’ll be a better rebounding team, which I’m really excited about. We’re looking to take a step forward and I think our roster really reflects that goal."
(Of the new players, was finding good rebounders intentional) "We added four new ones out of the six that are proven rebounders. That’s one of the things that they do really well. That’s intentional. You can coach rebounding, you can get it out of people. But a lot of times it’s just easier to recruit natural rebounders. Having lost some of our size from last season we definitely needed that size but also needed to take a step in that category
(European trip in August) "It was a perfect year to have it. These things tend to happen all for a reason and when they’re supposed to. So having six returners along with six new, incoming players it was a great opportunity to just spend that extra quality time together and have that time to bond."
