Despite a final weekend visit to Georgia, Rivals250 offensive tackle Jauan Williams stuck with the school he had been leaning to for quite some time and announced Wednesday morning he will sign with Florida State.

For the Rivals250 offensive lineman from Washington, D.C., it came down to his heart, and from the very beginning that seemed to be Florida State. The 6-foot-6, 314-pound lineman confirmed those feelings when he committed to the 'Noles over Maryland, Georgia and Texas A&M.

Williams had long been rumored to be favoring Florida State, and a lot of that came from his connections with FSU offensive line coach Rick Trickett. Williams said he also fell in love with the school, academics and simply how he connected with the players on the official visit. Williams becomes a key piece for the Seminoles at the tackle position, joining other four-star tackle prospects Mike Arnold and Josh Ball, a Rivals250 prospect.

"I was surprised with the players. They make you feel like you are already a part of the team," Williams said after his visit to FSU. "I remember seeing them Friday and getting to know everyone. Then on Saturday, we started talking like I've known them for a while, like I'm from here. It just clicked -- like I was part of the team."
