No. 5 - Ward to Dunn - 'Most Famous' pass play in FSU history

It was a close race but Charlie Ward's 80-yard hook-up with then freshman running back Warrick Dunn against the Gators in 1993 earned the most votes (36.9%) of the seven contenders. Next in the voting was Jameis Winston's game-winning touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin versus Auburn in the 2013 National Championship game (23.4%).

No. 4 - Stanford Samuels hit on Roscoe Parrish: 'Most Famous' hit in FSU history

In the closest vote to date, Stanford Samuels brutal hit on Roscoe Parrish in the 2003 FSU-Miami game won out as the 'Most Popular' hit/tackle in school history. That play 35.4 received percent of the vote edging out Marvin Jones' upending Miami's Larry Jones in 1992 (26.9%) and Greg Reid knocking Marcus Lattimore cold in the 2010 Peach Bowl (24.1%).

Samuels' blow was so severe that it knocked off Parrish's helmet. After the play, the Miami receiver ended up being hospitalized with internal bleeding. One blogger rated it as the No. 9 most brutal hit in college football history.

The Jameis Winston-led 80-yard drive against Auburn in the 2013 national championship game was the overwhelming pick as the 'most famous' scoring drive in school history. The game-winning drive receiving over 85 percent of the vote from fans on Warchant.com's Tribal Council message board.

No. 2 Terrell Buckley's pick-six at Michigan: 'Most Famous' defensive scoring play

With over 60 percent of the vote, Terrell Buckley's iconic pick-six vs. Michigan and Elvis Grbac in 1991 was voted on by Seminole fans as the 'most famous' defensive scoring play in school history.

A distant second was Devin Bush's pick-six against Miami in 1993 with 18.6 percent of the vote.

QUOTE from Buckley: “Coach (Mickey) Andrews would always practice three-step reads, reading the quarterback and getting your eyes back to the receiver, breaking to the up-field shoulder and then adjusting to the ball. So, for me, it was a normal read."

No. 1 - Most Famous rushing play in Florida State history

With over 2,000 votes cast, Greg Jones crushing run against North Carolina in 2003 earned the top spot in our Most Famous poll for the top rushing play in school history. The most notable part of this play was Jones demolishing Tar Heel safety Dexter Reid resulting in the loss of his helmet and, to some extent, his manhood.

We are looking to determine the "Most Famous" plays in Florida State football history. With the help of Warchant.com subscribers, we will pick the most famous play from the following categories: Rushing, passing, special teams, defensive score, tackle/hit and incredible finish.
