The Florida State men's basketball team again dipped into the neighboring state of Georgia to snare a commitment from an emerging shooting guard for the class of 2018.

Devin Vassell, an athletic 6-5 wing from Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee, Ga., announced his commitment on Twitter late Tuesday. Until recently, most of Vassell's offers were from mid-major programs until Florida State came through with one recently.

Rivals currently lists Vassell as a three-star prospect, although that could rise as he is beginning to gain greater attention in recruiting circles.

Here is Vassell's post on Twitter:

Vassell is FSU's first commitment for the class of 2018. He is the latest in a line of recent Georgia recruits for the Seminoles, joining 2017 signee Ikey Obiagu, 2015 signee Malik Beasley, 2014's Phil Cofer and 2013's Jarquez Smith.
