Florida State is off and rolling towards a big coup on National Signing Day.
Sources have confirmed to Rivals.com's Mike Farrell and Warchant.com that heralded cornerback Jalen Ramsey has notified the FSU coaching staff that he plans to make the switch from USC to FSU on Wednesday.
Ramsey, a five-star cornerback from Brentwood, Tenn., is rated as the No. 3 cornerback and the No. 10 player in the nation. It had been widely rumored that Ramsey was re-considering his commitment with USC in recent weeks with both FSU and Florida in play.
Ramsey, who has been recruited from the FSU side by new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, didn't become a realistic target for the Seminoles until Pruitt joined the staff following the BCS Championship Game. Ramsey made an official visit to Tallahassee on Jan. 11.
Ramsey becomes the Seminoles' first five-star commitment in the 2013 class. FSU moves to No. 13 in the team rankings with the commitment.
