Q: Is it special for you to be named sod captain for this game?

A: I think it is a very special opportunity for myself. To be asked to do that is something special. I'm going to take pride in it and I think it is an important game, not only for the sod, but for our reputation too. I'm going to make sure that we get that job done and come home with a W.
Q: Do sod games have any added importance to the team?
A: You want to fill that cemetery as much as you can. We are going to try to do that this week.
Q: How was the team's attitude overall this week?
A: We bounced back. I feel like we improved a lot. Our attitude - everyone is running to the ball I think we improved a lot. I think it will pay off during the game. It's going to be a collision. Hopefully the team is going to be hyped. They are playing at home and we have a big challenge ahead of us so it is going to be a very exciting game.
Q: As a competitor, are you looking forward to this challenge?
A: Yes sir. I'm looking forward to any challenge. If they said we had to play an NFL team, I would be looking forward to it. I personally feel like this is a great opportunity that is ahead of us.
Q: They have some big backs, talk about that challenge they present.
A: The thing is, they have some big backs, some big offensive lineman, and a big quarterback. They are a great team all over. They work hard, they are physical, and I know the running back, he runs real hard. We have to make sure we come down there and wrap him up.
Q: You can't just shoulder them down can you?
A: No. They are real good at what they do. They are real disciplined.
Q: That tight end poses a threat, have you spent a lot of time preparing for that?
A: Yes sir. I have spent a lot of time watching him. He is very mobile, he can catch, he can move, he is shifty. I am going to respect him a lot. I have been working with Caz (Piurowski) and he has been helping me this week as far as getting better.
Q: Are you aware that this is an opportunity to have the nation pay attention to FSU again?
A: Yes sir. I think it is a huge opportunity. That is one thing we are going to have to do this season. We are going to have opportunities like this throughout the season.
Q: A trip to Utah is pretty unique, is that exciting to you?
A: Yeah it definitely is. Like I said, I feel like I have travelled a lot of places while I've been at Florida State. I've been tremendously blessed to be able to go around and see all these places.
