IMG Academy four-star receiver Michael Redding is seeing his recruitment really start to take off, with offers from Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee and now Florida State.
During the Rivals Central Florida Camp in Lakeland this past weekend, Redding spoke with Warchant.com about where the Seminoles stand in his recruitment, when he plans to visit the FSU campus, his family's ties to the 'Noles and more.
"It's close to home, and I was talking to my grandfather today about FSU and all the family ties I have there," Redding said. "So, of course, I'm going to think really high on them. I grew up liking them, and when I was young, I would go there for games."
The family's affinity for Florida State goes far beyond just normal fandom. Two of Reddings' cousins, Marlin and Jermaine Green, actually played for the Seminoles in the mid-1990s.
So the offer from FSU was somewhat of a game-changer for the four-star wide receiver. And it's just the latest positive development in what has been an eventful offseason for Redding, who earned MVP honors at the recent Nike Opening camp in Orlando and was impressive in Lakeland as well.
