The Florida State Seminoles got more good news on the recruiting front Tuesday night when Deerfield Beach, Fla., LB Rosendo Louis announced he has committed to Florida State over Miami, South Carolina and Auburn. Louis gives the 'Noles a major hitter at the linebacker position for the class of 2018.

The pick-up was not a big surprise to fans on Warchant as we've reported that the 'Noles were in a very good spot since his visit in July. In fact, in our last Recruiting Mill, he was projected to Florida State: Recruiting Mill: Post Fisher camp (July)

Nevertheless, it was still a major victory for the Seminoles after missing out on Teradja Mitchell earlier this year to Ohio State. Landing Louis also is a major get for the Seminoles in South Florida.

Louis told Warchant after his visit in July that he was blown away by that trip. Also helping the 'Noles was the fact that he has a close bond with freshman defensive back Stanford Samuels III.

"Having a great talk with Coach Fisher for the first time in person was really good, but seeing what the players are like and also getting a feel for the people here," explained Louis at the time. "I love it. It feels like home. All the players accept you in immediately, and they've told me if you go here it's always family."

Louis becomes the 18th commitment in the 2018 class for the Seminoles and says this will be his final decision. He plans to take several visits to FSU for games this year and will officially visit Tallahassee for the Miami game.
