Add safety/linebacker Jaiden Lars-Woodbey to the lengthy list of players leaving the Florida State football team.

Lars-Woodbey, a former five-star prospect who has started multiple games each of the last three seasons, announced on Wednesday he is transferring from FSU.

The California product started 12 games as a true freshman, recorded 58 tackles and was named a Freshman All-American. He then started the first four games in 2019 before being sidelined with a devastating knee injury.

This season, as a redshirt sophomore, Lars-Woodbey started several games at safety before moving to linebacker midway through the year. He ranked fifth on the team with 28 tackles.

FSU, which is 2-6 in Mike Norvell's first season, has lost several key players in recent weeks. Receiver Tamorrion Terry and cornerback Asante Samuel are preparing for the NFL Draft, defensive tackle Cory Durden and quarterback James Blackman are planning to transfer, defensive tackle Marvin Wilson is out for the year due to injury and is leaving for the NFL.

Running back La’Damian Webb also announced this week he is opting out of the rest of the season but did not indicate his future plans.

More than 20 players have left the program since Norvell was hired last December.
