Florida State's disappointment from falling in the championship game of the ACC Tournament on Saturday night didn't last long.

The Seminoles learned on Sunday that they will be the No. 4 seed in the West Regional and will play this coming weekend in Hartford, Ct.

Florida State's players and coaches hoped they would be sent to nearby Jacksonville, but they still cheered when their seeding was announced.

The Seminoles (27-7) will face No. 13 seed Vermont in the first round on Thursday at 2 p.m., and the winner of that game will face the winner of No. 5 Marquette-No. 12 Murray State on Saturday.

Vermont is 27-6 on the season and reached the Big Dance by winning the America East Conference Tournament. The Catamounts went 14-2 in their league during the regular season.

As expected, three ACC schools -- Duke, Virginia and North Carolina -- received No. 1 seeds.

The top four seeds in the Seminoles' Regional will be No. 1 Gonzaga, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Texas Tech and No. 4 Florida State.

FSU's players and coaches watched the NCAA Selection Show with fans and other supporters at the Madison Social restaurant in College Town, near the FSU campus.
