In honor of Florida State graduate and Navy pilot Scott Speicher, who was shot down over Iraq in the 1991 Persian Gulf War, members of Navy Strike Fighter Squadron 81 will perform a 'missing man' formation during the pregame ceremony before FSU's Labor Day game against Miami. 'This flyover will be certainly different than all of the others.'
By most standards, Christian Ponder had a fairly successful rookie campaign. In addition to leading FSU to its best record since 2004, he showed the ability to come through in the clutch.
